Work Days at St Williams Conservation Reserve

Saturday November 4th, 1 pm – 4 pm.

We had a beautiful day on Saturday Nov 4 and the turnout was outstanding, thanks to our dedicated volunteers! We took in a total of three loads and over 580 kg to the landfill transfer stations, and that’s not counting what a few of the volunteers put in their own trucks for roadside pick-up.

A big thanks to all the volunteers, it wouldn’t have happened without them!

Saturday December 2nd, 1 pm – 4 pm.

Habitat improvement at the Nursery Tract: We will be cutting young pine saplings to reduce shading in oak savanna restoration areas at the Nursery Tract. You can take some pine boughs home for your winter decorations.

We will meet at the parking lot at the Forestry Station Interpretive Centre, 885 Highway 24, St. Williams at 1 pm. Bring work gloves, a high-visibility vest, eye protection and hand saw if you have them (we can supply if needed). Poison ivy and ticks may be present. Email if you plan to come as we may need to reschedule due to the weather.
