Discover the St. Williams Conversation Reserve
Saturday, September 26, 2026
1:00 – 3:00pm
849 Charlotteville Road 1, Turkey Point
Join the St. Williams Conservation Reserve Community Council for a guided walking tour highlighting this unique area and recent work undertaken to manage and restore its habitats.
The approximately 3 km tour will include stops at a vegetation management site completed during the winter of 2025-26, a McMaster University carbon research tower, and an area treated through prescribed burning in spring 2026. Members of the Community Council will discuss how these activities contribute to the long-term health and resilience of the Conservation Reserve.
The walk is expected to take approximately two hours, including stops for interpretation and questions. The route follows natural trails and includes uneven terrain, so please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, comfortable footwear.
All are welcome!
