55 walkers attended!

March 4th Pathways for People hike at the St Williams Conservation Reserve was a big hit with about 55 people participating.  Weather was perfect for a winter walk. Good exposure for SWCRCC and also the Canada’s 1st Forestry Station Interpretive Centre.

Many thanks to Michele Crowley of the Health Unit for organizing and promoting the event,  to Anne Wynia and Betty Chanyi for having the Interpretive Centre open (the apple cider was also popular), and to Mike Postma, John Morrissey, Rachel Moffatt and Cynthia Brink for coming out to chat with the walkers about the CR while getting in some fresh air and exercise.

This event was a very positive outcome of the recreational consultations held this past winter.

Where: Meet at the St. Williams Forestry Station Interpretive Centre – 885 HWY #24 (NW corner of Hwy 24 and Forestry Farm Road – Norfolk County Road 16)
