One or more small prescribed burns may be conducted in the St Williams Conservation Reserve sometime between April 5th and May 15th, 2024. The timing of the burns will depend on weather conditions. These burns are being done to restore a globally rare Oak Savanna ecosystem and improved habitat conditions for species at risk.

These prescribed burns are a project of the St. Williams Conservation Reserve Community Council (SWCRCC). The SWCRCC is a local organization that works closely with the Ontario Parks to restore the ecological integrity of the St. Williams Conservation Reserve.
